Auto Body Repair Tech

Hamlin’s Automotive is a family owned business that is seeking an experienced Auto Body Repair person. We are a fast paced DRP shop offering top notch repairs and customer service to our clients and insurance partners.

Responsibilities Include:

Be able to wet sand and buff paint defects on newly painted surfaces (Detailer)
Be able to paint equipment with a glass like finish (Painter)

Requirements include:

Must have a valid driver license along with a PA inspection certificate to perform State Inspections and Emissions.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screening
Must pass a pre-employment background check
Ability to follow directions
Be punctual and have a good work ethic

Mechanic

Family owned and operated Collision and Service Center in business for over 65 years is seeking a mechanic to join our team. Our people make the difference!

Responsibilities include:

Assisting other technicians in performing technical activities
Learning new technical information and techniques in training sessions in order to stay up to date with the rapidly changing automotive technology
Perform basic care and maintenance, including changing oil, checking fluid levels, and rotating tires.
Repair or replace worn parts, such as brake pads, wheel bearings, and sensors. Perform repairs to manufacturer and customer specifications.
Explain automotive problems and repairs to clients

Body Shop Repair Technician Apprenticeship

Hamlin’s Automotive is growing and looking to fill the vacant spot in our Body Shop Repair Technician Apprenticeship program! Our last apprentice has moved into a full time Collision Repair Tech and we are looking for our next career-minded individual who wants to break into the industry.

No experience necessary! We are looking to train and grow from within Hamlin’s Automotive.

Job Summary

Learn the craft of auto body repair
Misc. jobs around the shop
Follow directions given by Mentor Technician
Disassemble and reassemble vehicles and related parts
Minor body work in accordance with the repair plan
Enhance your abilities through experience and coaching
Detailing after vehicles are finished
Assign & inventory parts to each job/vehicle
Prep for paint
Clean up around shop & vehicles

Qualifications and Skills

Body shop/Tech school huge plus
Exposure to collision repair is a bonus
Exceptional problem-solving skills
Ability to keep up and succeed in a fast-paced working environment
Positive team player attitude with a desire to learn and succeed in the industry

Auto Body Technician

Hamlin’s Automotive in Bridgeville, PA continues to be busy and is looking for a start to finish Auto Body Technician (Body man) to join our team full time! Hamlin’s Automotive has been family owned and operated for over 75 years and we are looking for the right candidate to help us continue our excellent tradition.

Responsibilities

Repair vehicle per estimate according to manufacturer’s standards
Prep Panels for paint, mask/denib and buff
Check parts against estimate
Prepare vehicle for body and repair work
Notify management of any additional repairs or difficulties with the repairs
Maintaining tools and equipment in a proper state of repairs
Comply with law and regulations pertaining to hazardous waste materials
Qualifications

Qualifications:

1 year + body & metal technician is preferred
Must bring your own tools
Able to lift up to 50 lbs
Valid Driver’s license and be able to drive a stick is a plus
Reliable transportation

Pay: 40% of the estimate or flat rate with 1^st year making $90,000+
